Biddy Baxter
WQE College is saddened to hear of the passing of alum, Biddy Baxter. Biddy Baxter attended Wyggeston Girls’ Grammar School, which is now our Regent Road Campus, from 1944-1951. Biddy was a TV producer, best known for editing Blue Peter from 1965-1988, and was a pioneer of children’s television.

At the end of June, I Chaired a WQE Corporation meeting for the last time. I had agreed to write a piece for the College website about my five-and-a-bit years as Chair. Instead, and with great pride, my piece can now be about an award which reflects the hard work of so many people across the College!
Sensational 70′ Jubilee Community Awards 2022
