Sewing Enrichment

As part of our enrichment programme, we offer the opportunity for our non-Fashion and Textiles students to design and sew their own outfits/tote bags or Upcycle pre loved clothes.
Under the guidance of an experienced designer, students learn basic skills in creating your very own pattern and techniques in sewing their very own outfit ready for the summer.
As this enrichment is taught from beginners level, the outfits created use basic cuts and sewing as a starting point, but students are able to build upon their skills throughout the year. In past years students have made kaftans and skirts  (maxi/midi/mini), culottes and shorts, kimonos, vest tops and the Islamic attire (the Abaya) with contrasting head scarves.
Other projects also have included table runners, cushion covers, pillow cases, scrunchies, mobile phone bags and much more!
