Budding photographer wins Spring time competition

A WQE student has won a photography competition after capturing the best aspects of Spring time.

Organised by the WQE Student Executive, the competition ran from 15th April to 6th May 2021. Students were asked to take Spring-themed photographs, with proceeds from the entrance fee donated to mental health charity Mind. The charity offers information and support to people with mental health problems.

Students voted for their favourite photos on WQE Online, awarding the winning prize of an Amazon shopping voucher to A-level student Hoor Sanjania. Runner-up titles were awarded to A-level students Holly Large and Khadija Ali.

Delighted with her award win, Hoor said: “I am so honoured to have my photo recognized and be voted to win this competition. It means so much to me that the hobby I am so passionate about led me to achieve this award.”

Dipesh Joshi, President of the WQE Student Executive said: “Congratulations to Hoor for winning the competition and thank you to everyone who entered. Please make sure to keep your eyes peeled for any new Student Executive competitions.”
