We are delighted to share that WQE has been announced as one of the ‘Sensational 70 ‘, a group who will receive one of the 70 Queen’s Platinum Jubilee awards in our region for ‘outstanding efforts to improve their local communities’.
Paul Wilson, Principal, said “The list and awards are the result of nominations made to the Leicestershire’s Lord-Lieutenant. We don’t yet have the details of when the College will receive a visit and the award, so we will share more details in due course. I understand that the work in sport and how this impacts on our wider communities, supports other organisations and promotes opportunities for participation in sport, not just for our own students, but in the community was a key part of the reason for our nomination.”
