I was born and raised in Kuwait, whilst coming from an Indian family. I came to the UK as an international student. My experiences of having fled Kuwait as a child during the 1st Gulf War and being an international student have given me unique insights that enable me to relate to the journey of young people who are trying their best to integrate cross-culturally with life in the UK. I am committed to investing hope in lives of children and young people, so that they can be inspired to be all that they can be, no matter their past experiences nor their present circumstances. With this as my mission, I lead the work of Baca, a local charity working with unaccompanied young people seeking refuge from war, persecution and or trafficking. I became a Governor of WQE to support the College’s mission to enable every student to be extraordinary.
