I retired in August 2017 from the Headship of Crown Hills Community College in Leicester after 10 years. During that time I led the college through 3 highly successful Ofsted inspections, as well as leading on the design and move into a brand new school. In my final year at the college I made the preparations for a major expansion in pupil numbers and ensured an increase in staffing and temporary accommodation. Prior to taking up the post at Crown Hills, I was the Head Teacher of Riverside Community College. I successfully led the school out of Special Measures after only 18 months.

I worked as a Team Inspector for Ofsted for several years until 2019. I also worked for several months in 2017-18 in a consultancy role at a Leicestershire school which was deemed Inadequate by Ofsted in June 2017. I was a Governor at Regent College for 8 years before taking a break in December 2016.

I can now bring my experience to the College. I am particularly interested in the transition of students from secondary school to post 16 education and in what the College does to support and retain them on the most appropriate courses to achieve successful outcomes.
