Sofie Dadge

Although currently taking a career break to raise my young family and complete an MA in English Literature, my background is secondary school English teaching, with over ten years’ experience in state and private educational settings, as well as several years in the digital marketing setting.  As well as departmental leadership roles, I have taken a lead on Teaching and Learning strategies, UCAS and post-16 enrichment programmes.  My most recent post was in a newly-created 6^th Form, which involved working closely with a DfE advisor, colleagues and partnership schools to establish school policies and strategic direction.  The school was awarded an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted report in its second year.  I also write educational resources for English subject teaching and time-permitting, write freelance copy for digital agencies.  I believe education is the most transformative tool society has at its disposal, and view my role as Governor as a small part of this essential process.
