Becoming a Governor at WQE is a rewarding role that allows me to make a meaningful impact on education and my local community. I am a teacher with over twenty years of experience, all within the 11-19 landscape. I have been a subject lead, Head of Department, Pastoral Lead and am currently Director of Learning for Post- 16 studies at a Leicestershire College. My experience of strategic leadership, across many areas such as student experience, marketing, recruitment and outcomes are areas of strength and enable me to make a valuable contribution to the life of WQE.

I believe Governors play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of a College, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning for all students. The role is a fantastic way to support the community, contributing to the success and development of WQE and benefiting its students, families, and staff.
