I am a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) with more than 20 years’ experience in finance, governance, organisational transformation and leadership. I am currently Chief Financial Officer at Uppingham School, where I am responsible for the School’s financial strategy and stewardship, working closely with senior leaders and governors to support its long-term sustainability.

Prior to joining Uppingham, I served as Chief Financial Officer at Causeway, a national charity supporting survivors of modern slavery. In that role, I led finance, governance, risk, IT, procurement and operations, providing broad experience of leadership within complex, regulated and purpose-driven organisations.

Alongside my executive career, I have undertaken a range of non-executive and voluntary roles across the charity, finance and public-interest sectors. I have a particular interest in good governance, financial sustainability and the role organisations can play in widening opportunity.

My connection with WQE is also a personal one. I completed my A-Levels at the College, and the experience played an important role in shaping my educational and professional journey. Returning as a Governor therefore has special significance for me.

I believe education is a powerful driver of opportunity and social mobility. As a Governor, I hope to draw on my experience in finance, governance and organisational leadership to support WQE’s continued development, while ensuring that the experiences and voices of students remain at the heart of decision-making.
