On Thursday 21st November 2024, we hosted an event for our High Achieving students where they found out more about opportunities post-WQE.
Members of staff gave a talk to the students and parents/carers, covering topics such as Oxbridge, Degree Apprenticeships and Creative Pathways.
Once the talk had concluded, students and parents/carers had the opportunity to speak to our staff and ask more specific questions about what it means to be part of the High Achievers Community. We were privileged to be joined by Nicola Lumb from the University of Leicester who was able to provide specialist information about Medicine/Dentistry courses.
We look forward to offering in similar events in the future.
“Thank you to the huge number of parents and carers who supported this event. The thirst for success in the room was palpable. WQE is extremely lucky to have such highly aspirational young people and supportive parent and carers. We look forward to continuing to work with you in playing our part to secure a successful, professional career for our students. This event was the first of many parent and carers events over the course of this academic year. Please read our parent/carer newsletter for upcoming events, as well as our website and social media. Meanwhile, we encourage everybody to engage with our super-curricular programme where information way beyond the Level 3 and A-Level exam specification is explored. Our staff frequently provide their recommendations via social media and our newsletter.”
