Welfare and Skills

Comprehensive welfare support and guidance is available to any student studying at the college. For instance, if you are facing additional pressures, have caring responsibilities at home or are living independently then we will be there for you and we will work as sensitively and confidentially as we can to help.

Welfare and Skills team work closely with students, parents/carers and external agencies, according to individual need and circumstances.

If you are experiencing feelings of low mood, you may find this resource useful: Navigating depression and low mood: a practical guide for young people

Short term, confidential counselling is available to students on either campus may benefit from this type of support. If long term counselling is required, we will help to refer to the appropriate external providers.

We can all benefit from support at times, just don’t be afraid to ask!
