Congratulations to the cohort of 2026 on achieving incredible Advanced Level results

The past two years of hard work and dedication has paid off for our final year students, who have achieved some impressive A Level Results that have been key in supporting their plans for progression, whether that be into higher education or directly to pursue their chosen careers.

Our students can be rightly proud of their results, and we are very proud of them.  The overwhelming majority have now been able to confirm their higher education places, including for some of the most competitive courses.  Their talents, hard work and resilience have enabled these students to take every challenge along the way in their stride.  We have enjoyed seeing them flourishing personally and as young professionals ready to take their next steps with confidence.

This year, 96.6% of students achieved an A Level pass grade, with 72.5% of these gaining a high A*-C grade.  In addition, 96.6% Advanced level vocational students achieved a pass grade, with 76.9% of these gaining the equivalent high grade level of triple Merits or above.

Furthermore, 123 students were awarded the highest possible A/A* and or equivalent Distinction grades across their three or more courses.  A further 319 achieved at least one grade A/A* or equivalent grade within their result set.

For most, we know that their progression will now be on to higher levels of study at university, while others will have plans to develop their professional careers directly in the workplace, such as through apprenticeships.

By the morning of results being released, well over 400 students had already secured their place at one of the most prestigious Sutton 30 Universities, up more than 100 on the same point last year and continuing a rising trend across recent years.

The College is extremely proud to have a key focus on preparing young professionals and by results morning alone, 101 were already confirmed with places to study Law, 79 to study Accountancy, 65 to study Engineering, and 22 to study Economics, Banking or Actuarial Sciences.  Large numbers are heading into medical fields at university too, with 26 securing places for Medicine, Optometry, Dentistry , Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Science, with a further 77 to Life Sciences and 69 heading to study Nursing, Midwifery, Paramedic and other NHS Careers. There is also a strong cohort of 129 students heading into the Creative Industries.

As our students will now move on to their exciting next steps and on behalf of the staff , I can say we have thoroughly enjoyed being part of the journey over the last couple of years and congratulate you on your efforts and successes here.   For so many, these confirmed Advanced Level successes will be life changing in terms of the opportunities that are now ahead.  We wish every progressing student continued success in the years ahead.

I’m sure our cohort of 2026 will rightly be spending some time in the coming days celebrating, as well as looking ahead to realising some long-held ambitions and exciting next steps.
