Why do we have a Student Executive team?

British Values play an important role at WQE. By having a diverse Student Executive team, representative of the student body, you can help to create a student community that:

• Is democratic – one that is voted for by you
• Empowers individual liberty – acts as a voice for our diverse student body allowing all to express themselves freely
• Promotes rule of law – have your say in the Student Charter
• Built on mutual respect and tolerance for individuals from all backgrounds

The Student Executive gives students a chance to share their views and be listened to on topics that are important to you – we want your views to make sure WQE is always a great place to study.

Aims of the Student Executive

• To promote the general interests of students at the College to positively impact the College community and student experience
• To promote the general interests of students at the College
• To act as a channel of communication between students, the College and other bodies
• To promote and encourage student societies and social activities for students of the College
• To work in a way that promotes equality of opportunity for all students at the College
• To take an active role in planning whole college events
• To increase support/work with charities in the wider community
• Create a proactive, self-propelled and innovative Student Executive team
