The College operates across two closely located campuses, next to the University of Leicester on University Road and a smaller campus at Regent Road.

We are looking to appoint a self-motivated and enthusiastic tutor to deliver enrichment sessions within our Humanities area, who will help us provide the best possible learning experiences for our students. The enrichment programme includes subjects such as Ancient World, Debating, Law for Daily Life, Criminology, History Film Club and Global Issues.  It is planned that that this post will be based with our team at the Regent Road Campus.  All teaching materials will already be prepared, and this post is purely for the delivery of the sessions.

The successful applicant will have experience of working with young people. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential as is the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

THE CURRICULUM AREA – Humanities

Humanities is a vibrant curriculum area. We teach A Levels in History, Ancient History, Politics, Geography and Law We also teach BTEC Level 3 Law  (Extended Certificate) and GCSE Citizenship  at Level 2.

The area is led by a Curriculum Area Leader who is supported by a Deputy and two Assistant Curriculum Area Leaders. Together they ensure the provision of high quality outcomes and experiences for students and lead the on-going development of teaching, learning and assessment. The area is accommodated in a modern teaching block and uses well-appointed modern classrooms. There are a good range of resources including excellent online materials, and interactive whiteboards.

This is a permanent part-time, term-time post working 22½ hours per week and will commence on 17th August 2026, with a competitive salary on the SFCA support pay spine.

The salary banding for this post will be 7 – 10 which ranges from £25,951 to £27,733 per annum (pro rata). The actual starting salary for this post is £13,702 but may be negotiated based on experience.
